My man and I went on a date recently.

I took the opportunity to get a little dressed up.

You know how you get an idea in your head about how things should go? And then reality and your idea don’t really match up?

That’s was the direction our date turned. I realized early-on the success of our evening hinged on the attitude I chose.

Yes. It was all about me.

So… I decided to decide that the shift in plans would become a fun story instead of a pain in the butt.

Or feet.

(Though the new direction was LITERALLY a pain in my feet)…

We were heading to a concert, but you know how things get with Google Maps sometimes?  Hitherhencetofore we ended up in a part of town where there really weren’t any cabs to hail. So… we walked. And walked. And WALKED…

I decided to stop focusing on what the night would NOT be, and turned on the video camer aon my iPhone…

Then we just had a ton of fun. We even got some fun, silly… ridiculous pictures.

Lesson: Use your quotation marks carefully and never underestimate the power of choosing a good attitude and the video camera on your phone.
