Take It On Tuesday: It’s Time… to PAINT THE KITCHEN, PEOPLE!
It is time for me to PAINT THE KITCHEN, PEOPLE!
I have put it off long enough.
The color has been chosen.

(that blue – charming, yes?)
The primer has been tinted.
The windows have been FrogTaped.
FOR NEARLY 3 MONTHS.
(Thanks dad!)
Next time you see this kitchen… she will be a lovely shade of blue.

It’s a little bitter sweet. I do love the red. But the overall cloudy/dreariness of living in the Pacific NorthWet has forced my hand. I need to brighten things up.
Let’s do this. I’m takin’ it on, y’all!

Blue is a good choice! Can’t wait to see it!
It’s going to look wonderful in there and with your wood floors, and yes with black. Great choice, and blue is so soothing and calming. You will love it- I just know it. Let me know if you need help! : )
Can’t wait to see the end result.
Mine is soon to be light grey for the same reason. And it’s also red right now. Great minds and all that.
Yay!! Our kitchen is that color and I LOVE it! It’s so peaceful.
You know, I have a bathroom that I have wanted to paint for years. I think it’s time that I take it on.
LOVE the blue! Great choice. And btw, I think you need your own internet tv show. No joke…. your videos leave me smiling and happy!
Ummm… started to say have fun painting, but that’s a dumb choice of words. How ’bout ~~> Good luck with painting? Not sure that’s it either. Can’t wait to see the update!!!
I painted our kitchen a light grayish/blueish (is that a real color?) the Sunday before Thanksgiving and LOVE it! Oh, and prior to that, it was red(ish)/orange(ish). Looks just like your “before” image. Happy painting
I have painted my KITCHEN 4 times. Orange, Red, darker Red and back to Neutral Wheat. I have painted my MASTER BATH 4 times, Pink, (Rookie is colorblind and can’t tell pink from brown), Dark Blue, Light blue and back to Nuetral Biscotti. I am going to paint it again to a color called Zen.
I. HAVE. A. PROBLEM. Don’t be like me!
Blue will be great. I had a dark hunter green in my kitchen for awhile and it was just too dark so changed it to a light mocha color…what a difference it made!
Have fun and I think you should make sparkly paint for the stairway!
I have a blue wall in my kitchen and I love it! You will love your blue kitchen too.
Nice choice! I liked the dark blue, but you’re so right…where you live you need the lighter, brighter colors for sure!! It’s gonna look fabulous! Can’t waif to see the finished project…xoxo
I’m getting ready to paint my bedroom and can’t agree on a grayish color with my husband. Good luck! I recommend wearing a bandana so your hair doesn’t get painted blue
Love the blue! Some home accents of orange or yellow – even flowers- will really make it pop.
Which is, the the way, your blog header colors
