The FaciliTREES & Camping

So.

Earlier this month I had the distinct pleasure of joining my daughter and her classmates at outdoor camp.

And this is my story… *Insert Law and Order donk-donk sound here*.

It. Was. HORRIBLE.

Simply. HORRIBLE.

outdoor camp

All that being in nature.

A lake.

Trees.

A waterfall…

contemplating a waterfall

Dangerous trail after dangerous trail…

hiking trail

Canoeing….

I'm on a boat!

SUCH torture, right???!

Not to mention THERE WERE CHILDREN…

kids

AND A TREACHEROUS BRIDGE!

BRIDGE!

And this petrified creature was in a room that was full of animal skulls…

WHAT IS THIS THING???!!!

I would say that THIS railing is not “to code”…

DANGER!!!

Oh. And “The FaciliTREES”…

What do you get whne you combine 9-10 kids, 3-4 adults, and multiple hydration reminders?

You get the opportunity to use….

*drum roll please*…

THE FACILITREES:

The FaciliTREES

It was absolutely no fun… this “outdoor camp”.

All that hiking. And NATURE. And crystal, clear water… And KIDS.

I had no fun.

My daughter had no fun.

It was simple horrible.

Really… We were miserable the ENTIRE time…

Mother and daughter having no fun at camp

But seriously… the only NOT great part about camp was the coffee…

camp coffee is campy

Don’t let the word “strong” fool ya.

No really.

When I got home I brushed my teeth with coffee grounds for three days just  to help supplement my caffeine loss.

Unrelated, I never exaggerate.

Aaaaaanywho… I am so thankful to have been able to join in the fun with my daughter and her classmates. I had 5 girls, including my daughter in my cabin… and all of it was simply the best ever. From the little dramas that come with 4th grade girlness… to the giggling, and the planning, the “home-making” in our cabin… the best.
