What do Lemons, Mutant Carrots, Honda, and Dead Sunflowers Have in Common?
Me, I guess.
I sat down the other day to write my heart out. Pen. Paper. Coffee.
I had bought a few lemons and limes before sitting down with my journal and coffee (a grocery store with a coffee shop… two birds/one stone). It was symbolic, really, since much of my mind-emptying had to do with discontent and deciding to make lemonade.
Too bad I don’t like lemonade.
Well, I LIKE it, it just makes my stomach upset.
Speaking of produce, I pulled this little number out of my garden this week:
I can’t even bring myself to eat it. My husband wasn’t so sure it was appropriate for me to even post a picture of it.
LOOK! I’m in a car!!!
That was video shot by the folks at Honda. I went to Santa Barbara in September. Or August. Whatever. You can read about my Honda drive experience here.
I think I wouldn’t mind making commercials for my livelihood.
Lastly, here’s a picture of our sunflowers.
I mean, they are taller than me.
Which… actually, a lot of things are taller than me.
I recently met someone who was surprised by my charming shortness.
I think my blog header (me towering above the earth in the sky) suggests I may or may not be a giant.
I am a giant on the inside.
I think I should go.
Do you have a garden? Do you have a green thumb, or do you grow mutant carrots too?
Peace and Sparkles!
