Marriage: 18 Years Ago…

I don’t even know how to begin.
I’m kinda freakin’ out.
December 10, 2012 = 18 years of marriage.
CRAZY. PANTS.

Also, I had a perm.
And bangs!
ACK! Oh 1994, you slay me.
The last 18 years have been filled with surprises. Joys. Defeats. Elation. Devastation. Laughter. Tears.
Oh, all kinds of stuff. COMEDY…
And after 18 years, I am still learning. How to communicate. How to show love. How to give. How to receive. How to fight/not fight. How to make-up. How to apologize. How to share, dream, find time, and compromise.
Marriage has been far easier and far more difficult than my barely 22 year-old self ever imagined.
And smart.
But not terribly tidy.
He is an amazing dad. THE BEST. Pretty much the best dad ever.
I did good.
I lucked out.
I made one of the best decisions of my life 18 years ago…
Gosh.
Them.
I die.

Jenny – Many congratulations and happy years to come. And can I just say that I’m glad I’m not the only one that has a time capsule of a wedding portrait? I love the magazine style photo shoots of so many others celebrating anniversaries but sometimes you just can’t go back and change the bad idea bangs you had in your wedding photo.
Love the 90s chic though!
We were definitely poor college kids with a wedding budget that some people spend on just a grooms cake… Sometimes I wish I had some fancy schmancy photos and a bigger dress budget, but that was who we were. Young college kids making the most of it, and it is such a sweet memory for us
Now the hair, I don’t think budget would have mattered… would have still had the bangs and the perm. Glad we are over that fad now 
Congratulations! I just loved looking at the pics. You two look so very much in love. And your kids!!! So precious. You are a very lucky family.

You’re killing me. KILLING ME! It’s not like I’m in denial or anything, because the baby I brought to that wedding just turned 18 herself, but seeing you guys back then…oh man, the memories.
Happy anniversary. You guys have developed into a wonderful model of marriage. I miss you both.
I was browsing through pics the only pics I developed (a bunch of 4×6′s), and found a precious picture of tiny baby girl. OH MY HEART, JEN. Where has time gone???

We both adore you… and the littles. That aren’t so little. They really do adore you. In fact, Lucy was just asking about you this afternoon… “She is so nice, mom…”
