Let’s not focus on aging… or maybe I will.
Things I love:
- Coffee sipped from a bright, fun mug given by a dear friend
- Sparkly Converse
- Wide-legged jeans are BACK
- The amazing colors of fall
I have spent the first day of my 39th doing a lot of things pertaining to my role as mom… Nothing particularly sparkly. Nothing mind-blowing…
Unless one looks at one’s daily tasks as pieces of a life one has always longed for.
One’s own little family.
I never considered a fun birthday plan would be a day filled with doctor appointments and parent-teacher conferences…
Honestly, these are the little things that remind me of the blessings I have reaped in my 39 years of life so far… children… a marriage… a family…
A crazy little family. We go up and down together. I love going up and down with these people.
Today? The first day of my 39th year?
It’s been a good day.
And I had coffee. I had a triple mocha.
