Maybe I should rethink this "vlogging" thing.
O.K. So. THAT didn’t go EXACTLY as I expected.
In my defense, when I filmed this I still had not yet had my coffee. Not unlike a druggie without his “fix” for the day (or for the hour, I dunno the kinds of schedules druggies keep. Aaaaanywho…). However, a few lessons can be pulled from this experience. I am a giver, so to spare you the agony of making these same mistakes yourself, here are a few hints before filming footage for your next video/vlog post:
- Consider background. The trash can is not the ideal background. A tacky-looking, dusty silk plant from your churchs’ foyer is better than a trash can… unless you are making a video of trash cans, of course.
- Beware: apparently the camera brings out one’s “Valley Girl” accent. What’s up with that?
- Wear make-up.
- Have a cuppa coffee.
- Fix your hair. For goodness sake, find a flippin’ brush. It ain’t that hard.
- Wear some glitter, it distracts from real-life flaws. And it’s fun.
- Use a tripod. For so many reasons, Use. A. Tripod.
*still rubbing eyes* Really? What about: promised land, hope, glory, perfection, world peace & harmony ???

I have made videos before where, upon viewing, I think: “Why the heck did I have *that* in my background?” I’m so unaware sometimes.
Chocolate is one of those words that means everything good in life. There can no be a synonym because chocolate IS chocolate. And I need some right now. Off I go…

When I took my middle son in for his pre-kindergarten screening, they had him do some synonyms. When they said “delicious” he said “pear” which was (and is) his favorite food. They acted like he was completely crazed. Food synonyms are underrated.

That was the most hilarious thing I have ever seen. A tripod would be a good idea…but the vlogs wouldn’t be as funny!

Annagrace has been cautioned so much about FIRE “ANTS” this summer, and Tracey has been trying to get her to be able to SAY AUNT ROBIN, when she gets here….well….Annagrace, thinks I will BITE her!!!! so, Tracey had to call and tell me, when she finally figured out WHY Annagrace thought I would BITE her!!!!! WE are gonna have fun!!! They will get to meet Elizabeth and her parents and sister….!!!! WE are soooooooooo EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Girl, if you keep this up you will be SO POPULAR (said in best Valley Girl accent)! I am cracking up. And vowing NEVER to vlog! OK, “never” is such a harsh word. But – it’s not likely going to happen. I like hiding behind my written words, thankyouverymuch.
So it was brought to my attention that my 6 year old was listening carefully to a phone conversation I had earlier today. I honestly don’t remember gossiping about anyone….actually can’t even remember who or what I was talking about, but apparently the words “crazy” and “person” were used in the same sentence. So as I was watching your little video clip he happened to stroll by the computer, stopped and asked, “Hey mom, is that the crazy person you were talking about on the phone earlier?” Oh…kids, they make me laugh!!

HAHAHAHAHA! Oh, my gosh. What the hell happened? It was all going so well, and then . . . ? At least we got some good tips. I don’t know if vlogging is in my future. I’ve heard webcams add 10 pounds, and since I already have a giant head, I’d fill up the entire screen. I do admire your efforts tho.
