A Short Story About My Trip to Arizona

Wanna see a picture of a cactus? OK!

cactus *wow*

I went to Arizona last weekend. My friend Casey turned 40 and she had an 80′s dance party…

the 80's rule!

But before the party we went on a hike. This is my kind of hiking… wind in your hair…

Open toed shoes… and coffee. I just love hiking with my friends… We are all about safety.

Oh, and let’s not forget about the scorpion suckers for the kids! Again, safety first!

After such extreme physical exertion… and gagging, because my friend’s son ACTUALLY ATE THE SCORPION IN HIS SUCKER…. I needed a prickly pear margarita… #somuch

As if a prickly pear margarita wasn’t enough excitement… I got to see a REAL LIVE….

Arizona is a very hot state already, I don’t know how the whole place didn’t go all up in flames when you arrived with your own hottness

  2. That is good that you practice safety first…how grown up of you;). In our family we actually say “safety third!” Fun, excitement, safety third! It works well for us (especially getting my ever causious husband out of his safety first shell)!–S

How depressing was it to come back from sunny, warm Arizona to this gray wetness?
It looks like you all had fun!

They had those in Dallas as well. When we were stranded at the airport for 7 hours, we explored the gift shops and chatted a bit with some locals. Apparently eating the scorpion is like eating the worm in Tequila. But EEEEEEWW. I wouldn’t do that either:)
Good to give to kids though-LOL.
