I have mixed emotion/opinion about Valentine’s Day.

So.

That’s all I have to say.

Ish.

I did make bacon and heart waffles for breakfast.

Nothing says love like bacon.

IT’S A SCIENTIFIC FACT.

I bet it is a scientific fact.

If it’s NOT a scientific fact then… scientists everywhere need to do a better job of proving facts involving bacon and it’s euphoric effects.

I guess I had more to say.

BECAUSE WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND DOESN’T EAT ALL THE BACON???!!!

And a Valentine-y picture. Because. It’s Lucy’s bear for this year. I can’t resist getting the kids each a little stuffy each year. It’s frivolous. But we can’t afford a tropical vacation or even a non-tropical vacay…so if a $3 stuffy is too extravagant/frivolous… tar and feather paint me with glitter paint and call me frivolous! Even when my son is 18… he’s gonna get a cheap (but soft!) stuffy from his mama.

    Love me some V-Day. I make it all about the kids with a tiny treat, a special breakfast, a fun after school baked treat (heart themed) and a fave dinner that is typically heart themed (a homemade heart pizza or their fave pasta dinner but made w/ heart shaped pasta). Its just fun and they get a kick out of it.

      I think you are the first person I’ve *met* who spells their name just like my SISTER!!!… And related to valentine stuff… definitely we do the dinner and little special things and they sure do love it!

    I don’t have any traditions and I don’t put a whole lot of stock into Valentine’s Day lately. I do get my kids a little something each year and I also ordered heart-shaped pizzas for dinner. The oldest wants Chipotle. :)

    I love having an intentional day to show love.
    We often {but shouldn’t} take eachother for granted. It is nice to put aside a day to show our appreciation for those who really matter most.
