Flash Mobs and Moms Dancing and Feeding Children.

It all started one afternoon (yesterday) when I was on leg 3 of 8.

Wait.

That makes it sound like I have 8 legs.

I AM NOT AN ARACHNID.

Let me start again… The kids had places to go/be picked up from and I was in the car – on round 3 of 8.

That’s better.

Anywho. As I do, I blasted my tunes in my Honda Hotyssey because what else am I gonna do?

I selected my old school playlist and took a trip down memory lane. Footloose came on and for some reason it made me think about the first flash mob I was part of and then it made me think about the other flash mobs I’ve be part of and then I started thinking that I have never flash mobbed to Footloose and then I was all,

I WANT TO FLASH MOB TO FOOTLOOSE!!!

And then I put it on Facebook and I need to remember before I put such obviously inspired thoughts on Facebook I should probably have a master plan to lead such inspired ideas because

THE PEOPLE ALSO WANT TO FLASH MOB TO FOOTLOOSE!

I don’t have a plan.

Just a vision.

Aaaanywho… all that said, my friend Jenny (who coordinated yet ANOTHER flash mob I was part of!) sent me this video which speaks to me on so many levels – DANCING AND MOTHERHOOD. And I just have to share it with you… because it made me smile and giggle and I hope you will also smile and giggle on we moms need solidarity on things like dancing and embarrassing our kids and whathaveyou…

Oh, and while we’re on the topic of maternal solidarity… how about meal time? It happens every day.

Erry. Day.

Like, 3 times a day.

PLUS SNACKS.

It’s exhausting. The feeding of children really is like Groundhog’s Day.

As is keeping them in clean underwear.

Over and over and over and over.

Like waves.

Relentless.

Laundry.

Food.

Laundry.

Food.

And now I’d like to leave you with one last thought…

IMG_7882_rechargeIt’s true.

THEY’RE RECHARGING.

Happy weekend, friends. And those in the business of feeding children… Godspeed. Everyone else, Godspeed too.

And peace and sparkles!
