Caught On Video! Dog Pulls Loose Tooth! No, seriously…

Lucy has had this tooth hanging on for dear life. Neither apples nor daily, solid tugs from dad has coerced this tooth to leave it’s gummy home.

Seriously.

That stubborn tooth!

Enter floss, a daring 6-year-old (who would have preferred to have tied her tooth to a horse) (she LOVES horses) (who was also miserable because you know how irritable those loose teeth can be), Kevin (our dog), and a Milkbone dog biscuit.

You know what? You just have to see it to believe it.

May I just add… this was NOT mother approved. I hid around the corner. Ish. I have no idea where my little girl got her spunk and nerve.

Also I almost threw up and had a belly ache for an hour.

But not Lucy… she’s tucked tight in bed awaiting the arrival of the Tooth Fairy.

And Kevin, I have it on good authority that the Tooth Fairy also brought him another dog biscuit.

Note: ALL video credit to the husband. Like I said, I was hiding. He asked me to hold the camera and I refused. Even IIIIII have my limits. Apparently.

  1. Oh. My. Good. Heavens.
    EEK.

    Um.

Well, it’s a far better idea than when Maddie made ME pull out her last tooth. *GAG*

I cannot let her see this, lest we be letting the cocker spaniel pull out her current loose tooth.

Brave Lucy, though, and well done, um, Kevin.

  2. That was great! Lucy rocks – so does Kevin! I love that your dog’s name is Kevin :)

We always joked that we were going to do that to the girls’ teeth, yet never did because that would be crazy:)! When I was showing the girls the video Annika had her hands over her mouth was was saying “oh my gosh oh my gosh” and afterwards walked away with a look on her face that said “oh Paul I’m not sure about you!” Brave Lucy!

  5. Karen Foster says:

Oh my word! That was HILARIOUS!!! That’s gonna make me laugh every time I think about it. Paul you are an amazing Dad. FUH-NNY!!!

  6. Joanna Sprik says:

Gross. And awesome. Teeth really gross me out, my kids are only allowed to show me a wiggly tooth one time. I make my husband handle all tooth-pulling responsibilities. I think this is pretty smart–and your girl is fearless! great!

  9. Carrie says:

Oh, God!!! I could not watch the first 3 times!!

I kept pausing it, then inching it bit by bit.

The look on Lucy’s face: Priceless!!

    Good boy, Kevin…good boy!

  10. Hanan says:

Even after having three kids, that shiz made me twitch! What a brave little girl you have!

  11. liss@random says:

THAT. WAS. HILARIOUS! I wish I had such fun stories of my teeth coming out!

  12. Jen says:

That was awesome and now my 7 yr old wants a dog so that we can pull his next tooth out this way.

  13. jubilee says:

My seven year old boy would so totally go for this. I so totally would not. Yet, my husband totally would. I KNOW that I KNOW our dog, Chloe would too. Son is currently grossing my out by randomly calling my name to make me look and wiggling the same tooth Lucy just lost.

    Ick.

    Love the post though!

  14. Michelle W says:

As much as I winced…I couldn’t turn away!
    Yay Lucy- and Kevin!
I hope the Tooth Fairy remembers:)
