Blast from the Past

I got an email from classmates.com – er – a former college pal who contacted me through classmates.com. Hey Jen, you remember Ricardo? Yeah, him!

I’ll just copy what he wrote in his blog, but I won’t link there because he just “closed” it yesterday (said bloggin is too 2006)… stinker! But Amanda’s (his wife) is still up, so I’ll link to hers…

There is only a handful of people from my college years that I will always remember.  Meet one of them, Jenny.  Jenny and I worked as Resident Assistants in the dorms and we clicked since the first day we met.  We were both goof offs and felt that part of our job was to make people laugh.  This week I found Jenny through Classmates and learned that she also has a blog…

He nailed it. When I received the email from him, I laughed… just the memory of “Billy Bob Fred Barney Smith-Jones” (you had to be there) got me giggling. We laughed. A. Lot. I think that’s a big reason I survived being an R.A. It’s fun to reconnect and find out where life has taken old friends.

Oh, and he found and posted a picture of him and I dressed to the nines for our Senior Class fashion show – from 1995. Oh my heck! 12 years ago? TWELVE YEARS AGO???!!! I can’t figure out how to put it here, but honestly… I’m probably doing you-all a favor
