Small = Medium
I went through a drive-thru tonight… and ordered a small. The total that was announced seemed a bit high. When I pulled to the window I said, “Now you heard I wanted ‘small’…” She said, “No, you ordered a medium.”
I supposed she might have heard “medium” when I said “small”. You know, since “small” and “medium” start and end with the same letters… Or maybe it’s because both words have the same number of syllables. *scratch* *sniff* Is this a scratch and sniff post? Because I think I smell a little bit of sarcasm…

most places don’t even carry small anymore. they just carry medium, large, and supersize or whatever. i’m surprised she argued with you though
so did you get the small? Or did you just bite your tongue and take the medium? I totally would have done the latter and wallowed in self hate for the rest of the day. For the additional calorie intake, for the extra money spent and for the spineless submission to a drive-thru employee. God, I need therapy.
