Orbital Tumor Removed
As I walked through the grocery store today, I felt like I received a few awkward glances. Maybe it was because I had my sick baby snotting all over my shoulder (cute as a snotty button with her Santa cap on) OR maybe it’s because my right eye looks like this:

On Thursday, I had an “orbital tumor” removed from under my right eye. To the touch it felt like a small thing, but once the doctor got in it was bigger than expected – 1.5 centimeters by 1.5 centimeters. It was really stuck onto the skin as well. The original plan was to remove it from behind the lower lid, but because of the complications I had to be cut-up on the outside. I counted 7 or 8 stitches. The cyst/tumor was sent to “the lab”, but the doctor said he thinks it looks fine. I should find out the lab results on Monday.
Amazingly, my eye doesn’t look as bad as I anticipated, and it looks better now than it did Thursday evening… I told my Mom and Dad I’d post a picture for them, so… what do you think Mom and Dad???

Wow. That doesn\’t look like ANY fun at all. I\’m glad you\’re getting better. When will you get the stitches out? Or even better, I hope they\’re the kind that dissolve and don\’t have to be taken out… Praying for it to heal up very well very soon.
OW! That looks like it really hurts. I can just imagine what people “thought” when they saw it too. Oh well, good thing you got it out though. At least it will heal now.

I know what you are going through. I had an orbital tumor removed on the 21st of May. My tumor was 2.5 cm or about the size of a fifty cent piece. Get well soon.
