Make Me Laugh Monday – A Celebration of *ahem* Dance

Props to The Blozufog for leading me to the following video. I saw it DAYS ago, and I am still laughing. You have no idea how hard it was for me to hold this until today. No. Idea. I love you so much — yes, YOU — so much. It has been such a sacrifice of love to save it for The. Perfect. Time. *sigh*

I don’t even have to be watching the video for me to laugh about the video. For when I am driving in the car… I laugh. Walking down the street… I laugh. Plucking my eyebrows… yes, more laughing (which is, in fact, quite counter-productive whilst plucking). Right now, as I write… I am laughing… *wipes river of laughter tears from supple, flawless cheek*

Why is this video so funny? I dunno, maybe it reminds me of a time in my own bedroom. I digress…

I have to add one more video. A big thank you to Dana at Mamalogues for this one. At first I LAUGHED… Oh the drama! However, the more I ponder what happens in this video below, the closer I move to tears. I have TWO daughters. Pray for me… a lot.

O.K. I give. Here’s another video, since today’s title reads, “Celebration of Dance”… But I’m not gonna embed it. It’s my first attempt at video editing. And yes, the one choking on her own hair is me… the one with gorgeous curly red locks is Lisa… and the cutie-pie in red is my neighbor and fellow dance-fiend, “Carmenita” and she used my scarf as a prop. I love her spirit.

  1. That first video is awesome. I would have loved to see the video of her Mom coming in to see what happened though …

… the American Idol video … thank goodness I have a BOY. We only have to endure endless hours of sports and tv shows like The Unit.

  2. Maggie says:

OK, I had NO idea that as comin’ in the first video. Hilarious!!! And the second, oh my lord, I’m thankful I have boys. I can SO see my 5 year old niece in a few years from now being just like that. Right now, Hannah Montana is her idol. =S

  3. Dumblond says:

Do girls really get that upset about stupid crap like that? I do not remember being that into…well anything!! I swear if my daughter acts like that….

  4. OMG, the second clip! Made me die laughing. I’m totally dead right now. I’m just glad I have two sons to care for my estate now that I am dead, because I don’t think they’d even cry that much. :)

    Two words – Must dance!

  5. Tink says:

That second video is scary. I thought I wanted a girl someday, but now I’m not so sure! Lol. The first video was pretty funny though. Good stuff. I look forward to more.

  6. Michelle says:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…..
    Gasp for air.
    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!
It is funny, because I would do the same exact thing!

  7. Kathleen says:

My that girl can HIGH kick! I was all like “hey, that’s not so funny” (the dancing) and then *crash* and I was like “OMG!”

And those girls? Are you SURE they’re not acting? Kinda scary.

LOVE your video editing…you got mad skillz girlfriend!

Thanks for making me laugh :-)

  8. Boundaround says:

My abs have not had this much of a work-out since I gave birth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Causes me to recal when Baylee was an
N Sync freak…for her 13th I took her and a friend to see them in concert (Pink was the opening act)…the Tacoma dome full of small girls screaming their guts out and crying when the boys took the stage…I thought I had fallen in a worm hole. I don’t want to clean any more…I just want to play your videos over and over again….thanks for that girlfriend.

  9. jubilee says:

What a riot! Those poor girls. I had the EXACT opposite reaction than those girls!

  10. Heidi says:

video number one is made out of AWESOME!

video number two has convinced me never to have children…almost. there is always a 50% chance of having a boy, right?

video number three displays some serious kickazs editing skillz and the song choice made me put on my boogie shoes, so bonus points for that.

  11. HAHAHAHAHAHA! That girl had some good moves until . . . HAHAHAHAHAHA! I’d seen the second one, and that’s hilarious, too. Those silly girls. But I was one once. In fact, I was one the night the winner of American Idol was announced. I bawled like a baby — but from happiness.

  12. RickyG says:

So I was watching the first video and I was thinking “come on Jenny! this is not that funny” then she kicked the light and I was ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was great!

  13. Rhi says:

    “That loser who doesn’t shave!”

    HA!

  14. shonda says:

That is the greatest shit I’ve ever watched and I include in that the days my kids were born. Fucking fantastic!

  15. Momisodes says:

ROFL!!! I nearly woke the house at the end of that dance clip! :)

    That second AI clip?

Oy. I have a 3-yr old daughter. Who already loves boys.

    Help me.

  16. Lizulfisa says:

What I love Jenny, is that this is the gift that lasts and lasts. Your readers are going to have moment in their boring day when they flashback to that girl tearing across her desk with the hope that red curtain might save her. Still laughing. And as for the girls.. I have to admit.. I was feeling a bit like them last night watching the AMA awards. Coldplay got DENIED. So wrong. But I didn’t scream and cry.
Peace.. and I can’t wait to see what videos you create next.. your first shot was so good!

  17. D... says:

Hey! I was jubilant over David Cook’s win! Those girls might have been me if he didn’t. ;) And that 1st video? Totally would have been me.

    Teen girls. Gotta love ‘em.

  18. Heather says:

I am still dying over the gracefulness of that dancer. Grabbing the curtain was a perfect ending… but wait why not take the entire contents of the table too!
I had to share this with my husband and we prolly watched it 20 times….and yes, laughing each time.
    Thanks!

  19. *Snort*…hee, hee…haaaahaaaa….OMG…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ROFLand-annoying-those-around-me!

  20. Sylvia says:

Oh my god, suddenly I am so happy I don’t have girls.

  21. Bubba's Sis says:

Umm….how did you get that video of me dancing?
