In Celebration of My 6 Year Blogiversary – Something for YOU
April 8, 2010 marks my 6th year blogiversary!!!! And in celebration of this momentous event… I am going to GIVE, because YOU have given me so much.
In these, the freshman years of my blog existence YOU… my friends, my lurkers… YOU have given me:

- Fortune
- Comments
- Compliments
- Flattery
- A reason to live
- A Dope Mix of Beats CD
- An avenue to embrace and express the narcissism that lie latent for so many years!
- A book deal
- A Grammy
- Laughter
- Joy
- Connection
- Tears
- A place to escape
- A unique life-building community that some in-real-lifers don’t understand, but you do.
You have given me a new lease on life. A new perspective of sanity. And also sometimes a reason to be concerned about my safety. Ah, interwebz…. you complete me.
In celebration of all you have given to me… I want to give back. Sure, I could give advice…. but I already have. I could give you a confession, but that’s been done as well. Instead, I choose to give something tangible.
As I thought about ME (you know this is frequent and a favorite pastime) I thought, “What can I give that would in essence be a part of ME, but nothing like my organs or my baby teeth… What… what would tell my public I love them… Something(s) that are a part of me but not parts OF me… ”
I have decided to give of my passions. Now, I am not rich, so it’s not that I don’t WANT to buy you a your own night club, but my kids need their peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. And the bank wants their mortgage payment.

I would love the apron and I love your blog!!! I am a pretty raging cook and to be honest, there are few truly dude-worthy aprons out there. I would absolutely like this! Not only could we be twinsies, but I am the first comment and as a dude who can cook, I think I deserve a bitchin pirate apron! Argggggghhhhhhh

Please pick me because I actually cook. I may not make the food pretty. I may not take professional photos of the food I cook, but I do cook and the people who eat my food live to tell about it. And as a bonus Jenny is my true, blogosphere friend. I know she can rig this baby for me.

I never win anything. I think I deserve to win this apron because I can be such a badass in the kitchen, when I want to. Lately, I’ve been on a cupcake kick…and well, those just get messy! Also, I love anything glittery and I am so happy that I am not the only 30something out there who loves to wear it out and about. My 4th graders love it when I’m shiny.
Anyhoo….Jenny & me…..by proxy we have been friends for many years….we had just never met or heard of one another. It’s that 6 degrees of separation thing. Speaking of…your daughters will love THIS: I was Zac Efron’s 6th grade student teacher. Yep. Mhmmm. True. And all those reasons are why I should win that cutie apron, I tell you!!!
