I am so sorry…
As soon as the event is over, I will go back to writing about knitting, housekeeping, and proper hygiene. The exciting stuff, I promise.
*I went to the grocery store this evening. Again. Anywho… It was flippin’ cold outside. It was 36 degrees, and I could feel the sharp teeth of the chill biting my butt – literally. Until tonight, I thought I would wear my running capris on Sunday. But after tonight – NU-UH. No she di’ent. *snap* It’s back to the cozy fleecy-lined, long running pants. Yep, that’s what I’ve decided to do.
*Taper Week is awesome. I’m still moving, but I think getting through Saturday’s 12-mile-run was a HUGE milestone for me.
*Over the last 2 weeks I have eliminated most caffeine. I am checking if the caffeine benefits my performance. It seems it does not and therefore, I can forgo that race-morning latte’ and forgo a stop or two along the 13.1 mile course to visit a Port-O-Let. I hope.
*Gu – check. Got my two packets this afternoon from the local running store. I like the chocolate. It tastes like brownie batter
*1 toenail down… and maybe another is on it’s way out. I finally got a new pair of running shoes, but not before the damage was done. Apparently, my feet needed a half-size larger. What is that all about?

“Don’t be fooled by the rocks that I got
I’m still, I’m still Jenny from the block….”
What up girl! Just checking in.
Hey Jenny,
I also found out I had been running in the wrong size running shoe for about a year. Yikes, the new bigger shoes feel go great. I guess I had to let go of the “I wear a nine, not a ten” from my youth. I guess we are past the days of foot binding and wanting small feet. Thank goodness.
Again – good luck
