Dear Friends, Thank You!!!

I just want to thank you…

A couple of weeks ago I submitted my application in a dream that I might land a gig with Verity Credit Union as their Verity Mom. This gig offers legit pay, a few perks (a laptop, a Flip, and a reason to live) and a tremendous opportunity for my personal professional growth.

"professional"

I know. I wrote “professional”. Yes, we are all laughing. Jenny + “professional” = Whut the whut?

Oh c’mon! Just because I am drowning in dirty laundry…

stinky

Am a little bit country rock-and-roll gangsta…

And my best professional fit MAY be to be hired on as M.C. Hammer’s lead back-up dancer…

crazy

Doesn’t mean I can’t dress up for and behave at a job interview…

Hire ME!

I have UNLIMITED professional potential. *ahem*

Anynowhos. I say all that to say this: THANK YOU!!!

Thank you for enduring my shameless self-pimping… some in the form of blatantly asking you to comment on my application, some of it as I wrote to Verity… and tried to express my boundless potential to them. I had to — I had many worthy opponents:

blog-moms-rock

33 other opponents, in fact… and to be honest… great gals. I have not been able to personally interact with each woman, but I have with a number of them… via the wonder of Twitter, comments, email… And I have already been blessed with some new relationships that I hope will grow beyond this application process…

And that is the beauty of this “blog thing”. Connectedness. I am always amazed at how quickly depth grows in the online world… as our similar seasons in life pull us together in one place…. whether its a #gno on Twitter, or a Tweet that “hits home” and in under 140 characters a connection and bond is created, or a blogger who writes something that pulls her commenters together and connects new relationships and circles within a few commenters, or even on Facebook… I love it when my friends discover the greatness of each other and “friend” one another.

I digress. A little.

Thank you all for taking time to comment at Verity… or encourage me here… or pimp me on Twitter, or put the Verity link on your own Facebook wall. It’s the social media way of bringing a hot meal :) And I would not… I COULD not have imagined venturing off into this dream without each of you. I am not just saying that, and I am not being mushy. #truestory

Tomorrow at 9 a.m. PST, Verity will announce their selection for the final 3. I am nervous, but I am confident.

I am not confident I will be chosen… I have hope :) *looks to the clouds* However, I am confident that no matter who they choose, I know I have the very best peeps. You… my friends, my family. Those who truly believe in my abilities, my potential, my mania that drives my ridiculous. Who knows? I may be too silly for Verity, I may be just right. Who. Knows.

I know I will be bummed if not chosen, but… it won’t be for lack of love and effort from you… You all have been supremely supportive and patient as I have taken content digressions. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t say it enough.

Now. Just incase all our swooning didn’t work with Verity, I am going to go buy me some Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby and some rum vodka Oreos to have on hand… to season with salty tears as I drown my sorrows in a dark corner. Oh heck, if our swooning DID work, then I’ll will still have a victory binge and do my “happy dance” with lots of ice cream and cookies in my mouth.

Anyone want to join me :) *butterflies swirling in tummy* Or we can go for coffee. In victory or defeat, I am ALWAYS up for coffee and a little chatty-chat.

Kiss. Hug. Mushy mushy… I’m exhausted. *clicks publish*

**********

Keep up on the ridiculous, the insightful, the always digressive…

Sorry Jenny…… I hate Verity Credit Union!!!!! You should have been chosen as one of the three finalists. I have followed all your hard work through all the blogs and posts that you spend hours on. You are the GGreatest.. I will stick with Navy Federal Credit Union….

  6. WHAT? You weren’t chosen? So says Suquamish/Bill above me, but perhaps he’s wrong? I’m throwing up with displeasure. *rushes to Facebook to look for updates*

  7. D... says:

I am so sorry. It’s their loss. Of course, all that means is that there is something better for you and waiting for you to find it.
