Laying Low
Still in tryptophan-induced coma. I don’t even know who is writing this post right now.

I am just drunk on candied yams. No coma over here!
I understand completely. Did you know that tryptophan, being an essential amino acid, actually functions as a biochemical precursur to serotonin (a neurotransmitter) when synthesized via tryptophan hydroxylase. Serotonin, then can be converted to melatonin (a neurohormone), which puts you into said coma. Thank you.. (applause).
Ooh, I like Lizalfisa’s explaination…very nice!
Hang in there Jenny, a coffee drink is winging its way to you this very moment to provide much needed rejuvenation!
My computer has been acting up, so I got behind on blog-reading. As I caught up reading all your fabulous posts I missed the past few days, I was stuffing my pie-hole with more cornbread dressing with giblet gravy. Now I must sleep.
Ummm, what’s wrong with a food coma?
I hear ya! And I didn’t even eat all that much!
