Stars, Stripes & Flowers – My "Little" Spring Break Project
Spring break was several weeks ago. It seemed like a great time to give the kids’ rooms a bit of an update. Clearly, a girl like me should not be cooped up for a week in 2 small rooms.
I am now going to post pictures of the finished work.
My son’s room:
Joel will be 11 soon. No trucks or dinosaurs for him. We still have work to do. You see that gray wall? It will soon be a “Wall of Speakers”. The plan is to acquire posters of amp speakers, frame them and line the wall. He already has his own amp and guitar he likes to crank up every night before bed…
The girls’ room. It required MUCH more detail and effort. The girls share a room, so we needed to try to appease the preferences of BOTH!
Flowers (stick-ons from Ikea), which served as our color base for the colors we chose for bedding and stripes:
Stripes. Oh. Stripes… The taping of the stripes…

Since taking these pics, we have some bedding and desks pulling it all together… But that was the easy part. As a matter of fact, the gal who does my hair found paint in my hair just the other day – weeks after the project was finished!
Speaking of finished… I am off to bed… Sweet Dreams…

Very cool!! But the stripes…wow, I hate taping around the windows! If my girl wants stripes, she’s just going to have to settle for a striped comforter…

It looks FANTASTIC!! I did 5 stripes in the boys room and was about to shoot myself; I can’t imagine doing that much more-way to go!!
