I come across a lot of sweet things online… and thought-provoking things. I find things that make me think, things that make me mad, things that make me laugh… and things that make me cry.

Things that inspire… things that move me to pray… things that move me to thankfulness and things that move me to pin it on Pinterest… And I want to share some of that with YOU!

Our tooth fairy has had her fair share of drama in our home. But we’ve not (yet) had to deal with a lost tooth that had a cavity… so cute.

I love when real-life friends and acquaintances start blogging. However *sad face*… in this case I wish the reason Heather (my dear friend’s very dear friend) started a blog was not because of a stage 4 metastatic melanoma diagnosis. She is in a pretty intense treatment process right now. When you have a moment, do pop by and send her a ray of sunshine and sparkles as she pushes through some pretty awful treatment effects… www.heatherdevlin.blogspot.com

I’ve always wanted a green or blue or yellow or orange or red or purple or even pink VW Beetle. New school, old school… A Bug… any Bug. With polka dots or a rainbow… A cute, round Bug.

Alas… not so much for me.

*le sigh…*

But why waste time pining?

If I can’t drive the one I want, I’ll pimp out the one I’m with. And sometimes it’s the little things…

A little (f)lash on the front…

 A little bling(le) hanging from the rearview mirror…

My son said one day, “Mom… I bet we have the only car in the world with car lashes AND a blingle bell.” I said, “Son. I think you’re right. Ain’t it awesome?!”

Plus, I get checked out ALL the time. Well, my van. My HotYssey. She makes people smile… as her lashes blow in the wind…

And the folks who think it’s ridiculous? They’re just jealous. They don’t have the balls.

Nor the lashes.

How about you? Would you wear car lashes?

Now you’ll have to excuse me… I need to go dust my dashboard and do something about the petrified french fries.

I’m kidding. I think I’m gonna go play on Pinterest instead. Or not.

I’m a wild card. Who knows what I’ll do. I may just go write a post about fat-free half.

And half.

When I proof-read that sentence I realized I only wrote half of the half and half.

See? I’m a regular Pantera’s Box of No One Even Knows What I Am Capable Of…

Or not capable of, for that matter.

Maybe I’ll just go to bed.

Yeah. I think that.

And apparently, nor do I.

P.S. It’s 10 days until my birthday. Not that it’s a big deal or anything. This is just going to be the last year before I hit a new decade. *insert freaking out here* I feel like I should make a list of 39 things I should do this next year before I’m not 39 anymore.

Or maybe I’ll just make a birthday list!

I work from “home”.

“Home” being used loosely: a coffee shop, my car, the kids’ theater rehearsal building, in parking lots, on the ferry… waiting in the pick-up loop at school…

My laptop goes with me almost everywhere. One never knows when there will be a chance to wrap-up a post, delete an email or two, edit some video, touch-up a photo in Picnik… among other tasks…

Connectivity is king.

The blood in my veins.

Basically, my laptop without access to the interwebz is akin to:

• a convertible with a top that won’t go down
• coffee without caffeine.
• sand in one’s swimsuit
• an empty can of glitter spray…

SO.

One day… My laptop and I were at the park.

Yes. THE PARK. Some people take their dog, I take my laptop. Maybe I should name her…. Lappy.

I digress.

It was a totally appropriate time to be in the onlinez at the park.

At one point, someone asked a question for which an answer was needed and I piped in, “LET’S GOOGLE IT!”

And I did and there was much rejoicing in the land.

I was in the company of a few adults and a number of teens.

I was told later about what some of the teens were saying behind my back,

Teen 1: How is Jenny on the internet?

Teen 2: Jenny IS the internet.

I think that may be my tagline, “I AM the internet.”

I AM the internet.

That totally wins.

A Chocolate MilkSHAKE – Literally is a post from: Jenny On the Spot * This is what I do...

Once a upon a time there was a husband. He was a husband who loved music and his guitar. A husband who was very talented in his guitar-ness and sang like someone who was really awesome at singing. That husband was also a father who needed to work and earn a real living rather than chase the dream of being a rocker. So, his dream remained that… a dream…

The fair husband had a wife (clearly). This wife saw his rocker heart start to crawl up in a corner. But not in a corner to do drugs. He wasn’t that kind of rocker. His heart for music was shriveling in that corner as his outer self worked hard to be a responsible father and husband.

But about that wife…

She saw his heartache and said, “Hey. Raab Park has a stage, and we can rent it for, like $30. Let’s have a concert where you can play and your friends can play and…”

That was 3 summers ago….in 2009… Poulsbopalooza was born…

It was raining. The wind blew over our coverings and whathavyou… We had a coffee pot from home and all the friends and guitars we needed to make the rain and cold seem like almost silly accessories to what turned out to be a perfect day – if you don’t count the wet and cold part.

The dream didn’t end there. In 2010 we tried it again. This time there were sponsors and MORE musicians and an audience!!!

Looks pretty legit, don’t it?

I even sang a song. I am going to embed it here. I have only watched 10% of it ever. I can’t watch. It’s is not my best singing, and the end was rough… because we (Garage Heroes, you’ve probably heard of us) only got to practice the song twice, but… here’s the cool part – I tossed Oreos to the crowd.

Ozzie bites off bat heads… I give Oreo cookies. How am I not making gold records, people??? Anywho… here’s that video. I’m gonna go plug my ears…

Aaaaanywho…

2011 is here and the train of local rock is rollin’! Um… You know how it is with trains and such… Sponsors, t-shirts…

Aaaand we have a couple of additional Twists of Awesome. As Poulsbopalooza has grown, so has our vision. I was part of a diaper program months ago. The purpose of the program was to raise awareness of diaper need here in the United States. One thing lead to another and wouldn’t cha know it! Poulsbopalooza is joining with Central Kitsap Food Bank as they launch their new diaper bank! Poulsbopalooza will be their kick-off effort.

Also… the Bremerton Rescue Mission will be selling food and beverages with supplies donated by Silverdale’s new Trader Joe’s. Proceeds will help support the Rescue Mission’s work.

Can I get an AMEN?!!!

For all I know about wearing glitter… I did haz never thought about DIY body glittah, ya’lls!

Ooooooweeee, what up with that?

GAME CHANGER.

Now, I will share with you… My own very BODY GLITTER DIY… because I love you.

You will need a body glitter receptacle, aloe vera gel (unmedicated), something to stir with and GLITTER. Notes re: glitter – Use fine or not… I prefer silver or gold as opposed to color. I only had the bigger kind of silver, but tried with the fine pink/purple glitter. I suppose choosing color is a lot like salt and pepper when cooking — to taste.

Then, go to it… pour in the aloe vera gel, then glitter, then stir. Various sites tell you how many teaspoons/cups… I say, trust your eye.

Badda boom, badda bing…

Observe…

I used the silver glitter on my chest, and put some of the pink/purple concoction on my arm. I think the silver catches light more dramatically, but it was larger glitter. The brand you see pictured in pic #1 is “skinnier”. I have tried a number of kinds, of the same size (roundness), and this particular brand is less thick than others I’ve tried. I don’t know if that makes sense, but…

I’m not kidding, friends… I know my glitter.

I had to go pick up my girls from a playdate after my little experiment. The glitter was a hit, even with the book salesmen who had cornered my friends. My friend said, “You’re wearing glitter!” I told her I made my own body glitter. I beamed.

One of the salesmen said, “I noticed the glitter too!”

Now go, my friends. Glitterfy! Make, glit, and whathaveyou.

P.S. Some sites said one can add essential oils and/or food coloring, but me… not so much…

Do you know of a non-profit whose efforts should be rewarded with a coffee makeover, coffee for a year and $5000 towards their cause? Yeah. I. Know!

Brew-Lanthropy Project – A Coffee Makeover and More is a post from: Jenny On the Spot * This is what I do...

It’s been a bit busy lately… I recently had someone ask, “So. What’re you up to today?” My mind raced… “Do I say I have 2 posts due, a class to prepare to teach, a video to finish editing… or just mention I’ll be helping out in one of the kids’ classrooms…” I tend to go with the easy answer… “helping at the kids’ school for a bit…”

But YOU. YOU get the full scoop. You know what a “post” is. You don’t give me looks like I have one eye or walk with a gimp. Not that there’s anything wrong with one-eyed or gimpy people…

So. This a *little* post about the here, there and everywhere…

• A great deal of my time the first 2 weeks after Blissdom were spent editing “behind the scene” videos for Blissdom at Home. If you weren’t able to go, Blissdom at Home is the second best option. Join the community for access to session content, audio, video… and the behind-the-scene videos I lovingly and laughingly, and exhaustive-ingslyly pieced together. Join. Join!

• I had a post go live on My Life Scoop about vlogging.

• I was invited to be a Blog Frog Memories in Motion community leader – and accepted!

•I was on the news in Nashville.

• I finally got my post up on my review site about my recent visit to Gene Juarez – where they brought out my outer beauty!

• iVillage had a few of us iVoices share our thoughts on Valentine’s Day… (And next week my newest video will be up on iVillage. The topic – Married Sex! *gasp*)

• I MUST include a link to the 5 Minutes for Mom post I think would be a great eulogy. I’m not kidding. I almost fell in love with me and wanted to meet me because of how great Janice made me sound. Good thing I am going to live forever, so it won’t actually ever be needed for eulological porpoises purposes…

P.S. It was janice of 5 Minutes for Mom who took that pic of me too… *fist bump, Janice*

• Oh, and Janice’s other post mostly, pretty much about me (detailing the time we were swooned by Seattle’s Best Coffee and I got to catch fish… of COURSE there was coffee involved!)

6. Sparkles and twirling. Bliss.

7. Close your eyes… Can you see me? I’m in this dress, in a convertible, cruising and winding along the Pacific Coast Highway…

8. What? I am into dresses lately. I’m a girl. Sue me.

9.This dress makes me want to sing in the rain. I live in the Pacific Northwet. TOTALLY appropriate.

10. I want my wall to wear a piece of photography turned art… a piece bearing the faces of my beloveds… I ache for a Modern Bird all my own…

11. And I have never wanted to be a prospector so bad. Plus, they’re vegan, so I could totally be all politically correct and whathaveyou.

I don’t think this is funny at all, actually! It is TOTALLY unfair.

She’ll never appreciate the glitter hairdryer like I would.

And from what I understand, were we to go toe-to-toe in a game of “Who can stand upright the longest“… I would WIN.
