Make Me Laugh Monday – Shadow Fail

G’mornin’ glories! It’s a new week! Did you have a good weekend? I sure hope you did! My Make Me Laugh Monday post is a picture from my weekend. I had the privilege of attenging the BlogHer ’09 conference in Chicago. *swoon*

Actually, I had MANY things that made me laugh about the conference, but I am still sorting through pictures and memories and business cards and and and… I may still have some wine or cocktails pulsing through my bloodstream. I’m not kidding.

So, one afternoon my pallies Chris and Kim over at 3 Giraffes and  Diana at Of the Princess and the Pea were sauntering the streets of C-Town… seeking out a recomended Tapas restaurant. *Sangria!* I thought it would be cute to take a self-portrait of me being victimized by the wind in the Windy City. I was going for something like this:

That was nice right? Well, that wasn’t my first attempt. No. One could give my first attempt several different titles:

You see the juxtaposition of my purse, my swag bag, my phone and the bright flaming orb we refer to as “the Sun” all aligned their agenda in such a way that one might have thought I was getting something other than my conference “on” while away from my family. No. It was just a cruel trick of the universe.

Although *scratching head* after that trip that shadow “baby bump” could have been my Liquor Baby. Those blog people pour that stuff like it’s going out of style. I love me mah blog people. Now I must away. It is time to google “liver cleanse”. Just kidding. A little. But it seems I do need to go scan the interwebz. Word on the onlines (And So She Blogs) is there may be a video or two of me dancing at Sparklecorn. I also need to hunt down any evidence of my karaoke at the BlogHer cocktail party from Friday night where I rocked the mic like a vandal  and sang “Ice Ice Baby”. IRL, memories are just memories… in blog-conference land… memories have lives of their own…
