Make Me Laugh Monday

 After much consideration and with the generous permission of Jenny at Absolutely Bananas (because she started it!), I proudly share with you – Make Me Laugh Monday! as a regular feature here at Jennyonthespot. 

I participated in Jenny’s MMLM for awhile, and then she stopped hosting it… and I missed it! Granted, I was not able to come up with something laughable EVERY Monday, so that will be my challenge in this new “project”. It’s one thing to come across something funny at random, but to know I need something every week… it’ll be a good challenge.

I had debated over whether to seek Jenny to copy and use the name of MMLM. I thot about “Tickle Me Tuesday”, but the fear of sick-o internet searcher-types quickly caused me to nix that title. My friend Casey suggested, “Funny Friday”… and I nearly went with that… but my heart was attached to MMLM. I mean, of all the days of the week – Monday is prolly the day we need a good laugh the most.

Now. Ya’ll know that Jennyonthespot, while named for it’s founder – Me (Jenny), is not all about Me. No. It has never been about Me. It is about You liking Me! In keep with my “All About You” theme, I want to cordially invite you to come and play along on Make Me Laugh Monday! Isn’t that fun? It’s an invitation to fun!

However, I do need to take care of some housekeeping. If you choose to accept this invitation to Fun, I just ask that you observe a few guildelines…

• If you post a video or sound clip that is not child-friendly, please give a warning… I don’t know about anyone else, but I have little ones that may be within ear-shot. If I have fair warning I can lock said “little ones” up in a closet before I crank up the volume. *wink*

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Lucy emerged from a thick cloud of cheesy-puff dust. She knocked back that snack-sized bag of fake-cheese-covered-deconstructed-corn-andthenprolly-fried-snack like a well-practiced baseball pro at the season opener. She was as content as a bear at a campground full of illiterate campers… campers incapable of reading the signs that stated, “DANGER! Big, bad, hungry bears about! Lock up ALL food or the big, bad, hungry bears will eat all your food.”  Yeah, like that.

Lucy had the telltale “orange ring” around her mouth. The tips of her orange fingers looked like a junior high school science project gone reeeeeealy wrong. One look and I knew, “She must touch NOTHING!”

Being the problem solver that I am, I gently suggested, “Lucy. Let’s go wash your face and hands.” 

Being the practical gal that she is, she simply replied, “I already did!… With my tongue!”
