A Cowmonkey, a Cowdog, a Stroller and an Auction

Here’s a cowmonkey on a bullcowdog…

Why a monkey cowboy on a bullcowdog? Because my friend Stacey sent me links to images of Darren Sproles (look him up, I’m tired), and in that email she added a link to this picture. Who does that? STACEY DOES. And I nearly shot sparkling water outta my nose and I just wanted to share the laughter

I’m a giver.

So is she. But this is my blog. ME. This is MY time to shine.

I’m kidding. I’m not kidding.

Strollers. I won an Easy Walker Sky Stroller from MamaBargains.com - for submitting a Wishy Wishy post to Today’s Mama after being tagged by Jyl of Mom It Forward.

I won. I won! I WON! I won many things… one being a fabulous stroller!

But I don’t have a baby to stroll. My baby turns 5 on Saturday. *sigh* Bitter sweet…

After much debate with my soul and wallet… I decided NOT to Craigslist my brand-spanking new… high-end, RED, Dutch design stroller with a wicked-sharp turning ratio. Instead I decided to donate it to my kids’ school… to the annual auction. The one I shared about in this post here…

The auction is tonight, and I — being fool sucker fantastic, dynamic person that I am, I said “YES” to the role of announcer of the live auction portion. *Hello!!! Microphone! Fame! A chance to embarrass myself in the presence of many!*

The way I see it is like this – basically, were the auction a bull fight… the auctioneer would be the matador, the audience the bull, and ME…. ??? I would the cape. A glittery, fabulous cape.

I have no idea.

A microphone. Aaaaaaand a Keynote presentation to pimp out the live auction items.

I tell you all this to tell you my stroller made the live auction portion. This means I had to integrate it into my Keynote slideshow. My dilemma?

How do I make a stroller exciting and/or funny?

And late… late… LATE last night it came to me. Partially spurred on by the picture Stacey sent to me of the cowmonkey… and partially spurred on by my gig over at Babies Making Faces (formerly My First Fail)… peppered with a bit of extreme exhaustion… A video about what kind of stroller an Easy Walker Sky Stroller is NOT was birthed.

And I want to thank the folks at MamaBargains.com for their GENEROUS contribution to the sleighful of prizes from Today’s Mama! What a PHENOMENAL prize and product! Though I am not able to use it, someone will — and it will be a treat to have — and my kids’ school will benefit from it too!
