In other words (of which I have many) - a post of many things…
• I have loaded uploaded cross-loaded down-loaded over-loaded transferred successfully put a little video on YouTube. My first. It’s not exciting. I hate the sound of my voice, but this is my first debut as a voice, a videographer and a producer. It’s of the downpour we experienced while in NYC.
Living near Seattle, I am familiar with rain, but we seldom get THIS kind of rain. The kind of rain where most of the people on the street seek shelter and wait it out. We don’t do that here…
• OK, so the video doesn’t really reflect the insanity. But, we were heading out to join some people for cocktails at their apartment before we headed to a Broadway show (Spamalot - more on that another time -it was awesome!). We were trying to look kind-of nice - for our big night in the city.
I was glad I decided to NOT wear the sparkly dress that screamed perfection paired with the strappy sandals with daggers for heels. Look at my hair in that picture down there… I took this in the taxi we manage to snag at 5 in the evening in Times Square during a torrential downpour. We had to backhand some old ladies and tripped a woman pushing a double-stroller, but we got our taxi! SO grateful… And look at the poor people seeking refuge from the deluge… waiting for a taxi.
• My week started with a little lift when I visited Notes of Jubilee on Monday… She started a new “thing” called “Peep of the Week” where she awards one of her commenters from the week - what a fun idea, yes?! Anywho - I was the peep, and I thought that was really neat!
• A friend recently told me about Goofy’s Challenge at Disney World. Apparently if one runs the DW half marathon (on a Saturday), one receives the Donald Medal. If one runs the DW full marathon (on a Sunday) one receives the Mickey medal. If one runs BOTH events (back to back!), one not only receives the Donald AND Mickey medal, but also the Goofy medal. Aaaaand a certificate - presumably made of paper toweling for cleaning up one’s vomit after such jostling to ones innards. Golly. I mean, Goofy. Genius too. Why does that sound even remotely awesome? Someone make me stop.
• And I am out of time… again.

I have heard of the Disney Marathon’s before. I hear they ar quite a bit of fun!
even with the rain, i still think you are the luckiest! trip to NYC, Spamalot, and you were peeped!
Ummm, why are you not dancing out in that rain my dear….why? I wish once it would rain like that here!
I’ve never heard of the Disney Martathon before, very cool. One day, I just might get myself up off the chair and into a cute little…er…large jogging suit! It could happen.
Thanks for the limerick, Haiku, whichever it was, it most definitely made my day! You’re one fantastic limericist. It might be a word, you don’t know.
Oh my gosh that rain is ridiculous!! I’m glad you opted away from the sparkly dress…it totally would not have gone with that hair-do.
ps I live near Seattle too!! Small world!
rain or no rain - NYC - cool!
