It is with great pride, I present to you - a Puerto Rican Fridge!
Swoon. How tropical is THAT? I can almost feel the heat…
Puerrrrto Rrrrrrico. Rrrrrico Suave’!
Wait. That’s WRONG. This is a fridge, not a palm tree providing shade to sunbathers. Just because this fridgie lives in Puerto Rico, doesn’t mean it gets all the tropical perks that people do. In fact, it probably works harder than most fridges in the Pacific Northwest. It has to keep its cool when it’s hot, hot, hot! At our hottest, the PNW just gets one “hot”. Never 3.
A special thanks to Tasia for bearing the bowels of her hard-working fridge. I can’t link to her, because she’s not a blogger - why is that Tasia? But she is a sweet friend and frequent commenter who, while she lived near us - was one of the greatest babysitters ever! We miss you Tasia!
Now Tasia didn’t just send one picture, she sent quite a few!
In her own words:
It’s really full. I know. I clean and empty it on a monthly basis and my grandma makes sure to put it back to her liking. It’s a vicious circle.
Milk. We buy in these carton things. Last a lot longer and doesn’t have to be refrigerated until opened which means we can buy it at Costco.
Eggs. Small and Brown. However, these were bought at Costco!
Ketchup. Need to get some. (Non fridge item near it, too)
Leftovers. There are MANY containers.
Freezer. WAY TOO FULL. My grandma has already ruined the motor TWICE. Thank you very much. Are you noticing a pattern with my attitude towards the fridge?!?! I like it orderly and CLEAN. My grams… well, she doesn’t like to “waste” food (throwing it away once gone bad) and saves it for her friend’s dogs. They live two hours away and she only visits them two times a month. I guess it’s my pet peeve.

I want to be sure to thank PTNO, Stop Screaming I’m Driving, Stories of My Life and 867-5309 for your patience. Each of these wonderful women have generously offered to open THEIR wonderful fridges to Me - to us! And I am so taking ya’ll up on your offers! But because I am not really “on the spot” as my blog-name might suggest - I have not actually replied to the aforementioned kind offers. I will be contacting each of you soon… but PTNO - you’re next week sista! Click here for the teaser!

I may have to cry foul here for I see not one single ant, fly nor gnat in this “supposed” PR fridge…hmmmm…very suspicious
Okay I’m laughing so hard at Michele’s comment I’m going to short circuit my keyboard!
This is SO wierd!!!! LOL!
Michele- I made sure not to zoom in too much!
Jenny~ I have thought about the blogging world… how does one go about that?!?!
Not showing you my fridge. Nuh uh. No way. Can’t make me.
Hot damn! This fridge is jam-packed. Mine is positively malnourished by comparison.
Holy crap! She could feed an army with that fridge!
