Haiku

I wrote a haiku to win a prize - wanna hear read it?

Snowflakes fall upon
The ground, wet, damp and slushy
Not a good hair day

I found a new blog last night - Rocks in my Dryer. Isn’t that an awesome name? What mom hasn’t had rocks in her dryer? Anywho. Shannon (the blogstress of Rocks in my Dryer) is having a contest to win a radio-somethin’, and all ya gotta do is write your best haiku. Whell, that’s not so hard since I think I’ve only written, like, 2 in my life.

I prolly won’t win - given the 250-some-odd other haiku (haiki, haikee, haikus, haiko - what’s the plural for that?) vying for the prize, but now I can add “Haiku Competitor” to my list of “skills”.

I haven’t written a Haiku since fourth grade and I remember it was very VERY horrible.
