A representative from the losing team says,
“We didn’t come with our game…. We didn’t do our best out there…. I don’t know, we just weren’t playin’ as a team… We needed to catch the ball…. We needed to take control and we didn’t… Our offense wasn’t scoring.”
The winner says,
“We brought our game and played it… We worked our butts off… We really played as a team out there… We held on to the ball… We took control of the game and didn’t give up…. Our defense kept them back.”
*scratch*scratch* Did I miss something? With all the sports casters throwing our their witty puns, savvy observations and comedic jabs… did I miss something??? OH, you mean when that guy dropped the ball, and dropped it again and let that other guy from that team over there jump up and nab it… Oh, the ball droppin’ team lost and the ball keeping team won. Go figure.
Now, I actually enjoy having “the game” on. And another. It reminds me of Gramma’s over the holidays… game after game after game… Nostalgia, if you will. The family was together.
Nowadays, I get into the games too - especially if it’s a team I have developed an interest in. Right now I find the Seahawks and the Mariners fun to watch (hey, I live near Seattle, location, location, location…) However, my palette has not yet figured out how the post-game interview is palatable.
A 30-minute interview on why the home team lost? Isn’t it obvious? And a few quick replays will re-tell the story for those who missed “the game”. I guess just don’t “get” the exasperating verbal walk through what I just saw with mine own 2 eyes. Maybe I’m just grumpy…

Great post, Jenny. I just want to give thanks my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for this post. I mean it really came down to the letters being place in the right way to make a good collection of thoughts… know what’m sayin? I mean without that it wouldn’t have worked out in your favor. I did my best to read the words, and it just worked out in the end. Letter’s and collections of letters is really what made the difference. Peace.

I relate completely. If I have to listen to another interview with Bibby or Artest (Ah, the agony of being a Kings fan) I will scream. Especially when I realize how highly paid these dudes are.
