Little J - who will be 5 next Sunday, offered his help to me today.

He said in a very sincere and concerned tone, \”I can be your helper. I can help you. If you need my help, you can just give me a call. My number is ###-####.\”

I told him I would DEFINITELY call the next time I needed a hand in Sunday school:)

Results

In my line of work (motherhood), much of what I do gets undone. Except for a few pesky slugs, I have found an outlet that gives results - my garden. The radishes were eaten by rollie-pollies, the carrots may not grow to full size, BUT I have healthy, beautiful zucchinis, cucumbers, green beans, and possibly 2 kinds of tomatoes and savory rosemary! I’m still waiting to see what happens with my bell peppers… Woohoo!

Mary, Mary, quite contrary…

How does your garden grow?

Solution

We have an apple tree in our backyard. That little tree just puts out apples like crazy! The apples are very tart, so they\’re not that great for eating.

So… Every couple of days, the apples need to be picked up off the ground and we toss them over the fence. Today, Olivia offered up a fine solution as I worked on my apple pitching. \”Mom, maybe we should put glue on the apples.\” I knew where it was going, but wanted to hear it from her. I inquired, \”Why would we do that?\” \”So the apples won\’t fall off.\” Then she went on about water and washing them because we shouldn\’t eat glue… Great idea sweetheart:)
