The Silent Predator

Mosquitos!!! *scratch*

While on vacation last November, in a climate unlike the Pacific Northwest, I was assaulted. It was silent, but the effects were long lasting. *scratch* It happened at the Magic Kingdon (a.k.a. the Happiest Place on Earth)… I believe in the evening. I experience something to the degree I have never known. I have been bitten by mosquitos before - many, many times. I camp, *scratch* I venture outside *scratch* when it is warm and muggy.

I was foolish, I assumed that in November *scratch* all mosquitos went away (hybernate, whatever mosquitos do…). Not so much. Very NOT so much in Florida!

The count, *scratch* you may want to sit down:
18 on just my LEFT leg (7 of the bites on my inner ankle), and 9 on my RIGHT leg *scratch* *scratch* *scratch*!!!

I\’m surprised I didn\’t get mosquito poisoning or something. It makes me itch *scratch* just to think about it!

The next day we left on our cruise *scratch*. The first few potentially restful *scratch* nights, were not as restful as they could have been… *scratch* *scratch* *scratch* *scratch* *scratch* *scratch* *scratch* *scratch*
