Boy or Girl???

\"\" I wonder… My friend came over yesterday and gave me a foot massage and pedicure. We decided to put a blue flower one one toe and a pink flower on the other. What will it be???

I notice that those who know me/my family think it will be a girl. Those I meet out-n-about think it\’s a boy (the way I am carrying). My husband thinks he saw \”something\” when we had the ultrasound at 19 weeks, but the technician flew by since she new we didn\’t want to know. — umbilical cord maybe??? Hmmm… Either boy or girl will be great. When I try to imagine one or the other, I find relief in the fact I have no control over that outcome!

It\’s fun to speculate though…

Goodness…

I have been so blessed lately by the goodness and love of friends. I have made it no secret that this pregnancy has brought a significant amount of pain and discomfort. I think I\’ve been a bit too vocal, thus whiny, but my my friends have taken it and have blessed me with rest and pampering.

For example, my husband! He too has been such a support and help. We both have pretty full plates, but he had been working hard to be my right hand (or back - since mine is shot!) and help keep my mind at ease. He has actively reduced the demands on his time, so he has more time to be a house-wife and mom:) I do not take his efforts for granted:)

Another example - girlfriends. A few recently had a little pre-baby tea party where we giggled, talked about where I need help, and each woman read encouraging words and scriptures to refresh my soul for this new adventure. Another friend came yesterday and gave me a foot massage, and pedicure! Several different friends have come to take one or both kids for the day of half a day while I rest or continue to \”nest\”. Others call or email to say encouraging things, or to remind me they want to help.

I feel blessed and at ease because of the care and concern of others. Becoming pregnant and having two other young children scared me, but the support of my husband and my friends has helped carry me through. I know the road with an infant will be rough, but I have the support of incredible people to help me get through.
