I missed my son\’s first field trip of the year. I got to school and his teacher was collecting money and permission slips. Huh??? My girlfriend spotted me the 4 bucks, and signed a slip for him to go. I really would have like to g too, and to have taken Olivia as well. The class went to a pumpkin farm. As I have mentioned before, I\’ve been felling a bit tired and overwhelmed, so we\’ve not made it to any pumpkin patch this year. I wanted Livi to be able to wader through. I finally bought a couple pumpkins from the grocery store, but we still haven\’t carved them…. maybe tonight…

I love your blog Jenny! I did the same thing last year with Connor and the fire department field trip - except I wasn’t pregnant and had no excuse. It was on a day that he doesn’t normally go to preschool and I just simply forgot. I felt so guilty about it and realized that I had to ‘get over it’ and know that I’m not a perfect mom and that I’ll probably forget a few things! I think that was about the same time that I started Haley in the co-op preschool and had forgotten about a fund-raiser activity for her little school. I realized that preschool for a almost 2 year old was a bit early for mommy! It’s amazing how you learn your limits or boundaries ‘naturally’ by forgetting!
